Recipe: Avocado Coconut Smoothie

Avocados — the versatile fruit that makes this smoothie rich and creamy is filled with monounsaturated fatty acids, a heart-healthy fatty acid that can help lower the risk of heart disease and decrease inflammation. Ginger and turmeric’s light and subtle flavors pack in plenty of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Spinach, coconut milk, and chia seeds give this smoothie essential vitamins and minerals making it the perfect, refreshing way to refuel in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 banana
  • cup coconut milk
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop TB12 Protein

TOOLS:

  • Blender

DIRECTIONS:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Serve right away and enjoy!
