RECIPE: Cinnamon Apple Smoothie

Apple picking season is here with crisp, sweet apples filling orchards across the country, but just because you are skipping out on apple pie doesn’t mean you have to pass up on a classic fall flavor.

The fresh, ripe apples pack this smoothie with essential antioxidants and flavonoids and a plant-based yogurt for a smooth, creamy texture packed with protein and probiotics. Flaxseeds provide plenty of Omega-3s, which boost mental health and heart health. Lastly raw, unfiltered honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg bring us all the sweet, satisfying fall taste without any added sugars or sweeteners.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 scoop TB12 Protein
  • 3 apples: peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ¼ cup plant-based yogurt
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon raw, unfiltered honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds
  • ½ cup ice

DIRECTIONS:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Serve right away. Enjoy!
